Explanatory text | Each master programme is divided in two parts: a first year of advanced studies and a second year of research phase.Advanced studies: The key element of this phase is the special courses catalogue. The courses of this catalogue are related to selected topics in theoretical and experimental physics, ordered in the four core areas of the four master programmes. They represent the scientific profile of TUM's Physics Department and introduce students to the state-of-the-art in physics.Research phase: This second year is the brand mark of our physics studies. Students work independently on a current problem in modern physics within one of our research groups and attain the practical expertise a physicist requires. |
